YEREVAN (Armenpress)–The embassy of Armenia opened an exhibition dedicated to the 190th anniversary of a famous Russian-Armenian marine painter Hovhannes Ayvazovsky in New Delhi.
The exhibition, opened on July 31, is a joint event organized together with the Scientific and Cultural Center of the Russian Federation. Visitors can see the duplicates of famous canvases of the great artist and other materials.
The exhibition was opened by Armenian ambassador Ashot Kocharian. Parag Shukla, a famous Indian art critic and the special guest of this event, also made a speech.
Armenian foreign ministry said the opening was attended by representatives of the Indian government, diplomats, as well as art critics. The exhibition will be open for visitors until August 4.
