BAKU (TodayAz)—The so-called Azeri community of Nagorno-Karabakh was re-registered with Azerbaijan’s Justice Ministry.
“Because of amendments to the regulations at the June meeting, we appealed to the Justice Ministry and received a good feedback,” said Mehdi Abdullayev, head of the coordinating council of the Azeri community of Nagorno-Karabakh.
Abdullayev said changes in the name of community and adoption of new regulations necessitated re-registration. “We faced no difficulties with registration as we have legal address,” head of the council said.
The first meeting of Azeri community of Nagorno-Karabakh was held on June 5. Reforming of the community’s structure was discussed at the meeting. As a result, decision was made to rename Azeri community of Nagorno-Karabakh region into “Community of Nagorno-Karabakh Region of Azerbaijan.” The self-proclaimed head of the Shoushi city administration Bayram Safarov was elected head of the community.
