YEREVAN (Noyan Tapan)–On June 14 morning Azeri armed formations made an attempt to cross the border in the north-east of the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic–near the village of Oratagh in Mardakert region.

Official of the defense ministry of Armenia Georgy Antonian said that as a result of fire opened by the Karabakh Army of Defense–the enemy had to retreat. Two Armenian soldiers were heavily wounded. There was no immediate information on killed soldiers. Currently–the details of the incident are being verified.

The same source flatly denied reports by the defense ministry of Azerbaijan that the attack was launched by the Karabakh armed forces and brushed aside all accusations that Armenia bears entire responsibility for the incident. The report by the Azerbaijani defense ministry also says that 2 Azeri soldiers were killed and 4 wounded in the incident.
