ENCINO–The Administration of the Ferrahian School is delighted to inform that Ashkhen Baharian–a dedicated individual in the community–donated $25,000 in memory of her late husband Antranik Baharian. This amount will be allocated for the physical improvement of both Ferrahian campuses. The Administration and the Finance Committee of the Ferrahian School have decided to name a classroom in memory of Antranik Baharian–who passed away in Los Angeles on September 21–2001.
This exceptional undertaking was announced at a Christmas gathering where many close friends of the Ferrahian larger family were present. At this function–Serop Beylerian–Chairman of the Finance Committee and John Kossakian–Principal of the Ferrahian School briefed the attendees about the academic progress the school has made so far and about the financial status of the school.
The report identified the structural improvemen’s made during the past five months which amounted to approximately $150,000. Now–the Ferrahian School is in need of an immediate additional $500,000 for renovation–repairs–and replacement of worn-out materials. This does not include the plans for the North Hills Campus renovation project aimed at building 6-18 additional classrooms. The report also identified a number of pledges made by benefactors which amount to around $100,000. Finally–the message from both reports was clear – the Ferrahian School is in need of immediate funds restoration and upkeep–which must be realized during the following 12 months.
