MINSK (Itar-Tass)–Belarus is planning to extend its diplomatic network by opening new embassies in a number of countries–among them Armenia–along three continents.
Press Secretary of the Belarussian Foreign Ministry Nikolai Borisevich told reporters Thursday that this year Belarus will open embassies in Argentina–Hungary–Sweden–Armenia and Azerbaijan.
The Ministry will also propose that the government decide on the opening of an embassy in the United Arab Emirates.
The locations for new embassies have been chosen to promote the country’s foreign economic interests–Borisevich said.
