STEPANAKERT (Noyan Tapan)–Karabakh’s Prime Minister Anushavan Danielian received the lecturers of the King’s College of London professor Dove Lynch and Eric Bodeiler Tuesday–who had arrived in the region to get acquainted with the problems of the countries which had embarked on the path of independence after the collapse of the Soviet Union. In particular–for establishing a special monograph–the guests were interested in the aspects of the internal political–socio-economic and cultural life of Karabakh.
Expressing readiness to assist the scientists–Anushavan Danielian noted: "We have already overcome the postwar syndrome–and the Karabakh’s top-priority task is to reconstruct the destroyed economy–create new jobs and improve the social conditions of the population. A democratic state is being built in Karabakh. The Nagorno-Karabakh Republic has all the necessary state institutions–and I think the barrier connected with the concept of "unrecognized Republic" will soon disappear."
During their stay in the Karabakh the British scientists intend to meet with a number of representatives of Karabakh governmental and non-governmental organizations.
