Well-known benefactors Richard and Tina Carolan contributed $50,000 to the Rose and Alex Pilibos Armenian school–to assist the institution in preparing for the challenges of the 21st century–school administrators announced this week. The sum will be entirely allocated to the acquisition and upgrade of the school’s computer systems and equipment.
Following a meeting with the Carolans in New York–Pilibos Principal Viken Yacoubian said–"once again–renowned Armenian-American benefactors Richard and Tina Carolan–heeded our request–by offering a generous gift which will enable the school to upgrade its computer systems and provide students with the necessary equipment and latest technological advances."
Yacoubian also commended all other community members who–through various means–support Armenian schools and education.
The Rose and Alex Pilibos school has already had an extraorinary academic year. It began this year with an enormous jump in student enrollment–an unprecedented growth in five years–and now it will be able to upgrade its equipment due the genrosity of the Carolans.
