LOS ANGELES–Western Prelate Bishop Moushegh Mardirossian and the Religious and Executive councils of the Western Prelacy announced that benefactors Richard and Tina Carolan once again–have made a generous contribution to the Catholicosate of Cilicia and the Western Prelacy.
Last May–the Carolans committed a donation of $60,000 to sponsor the Prelacy "Lousavorich" choir concert for the occasion of 1700th Anniversary of the Proclamation of Christianity in Armenia–as well as–participating as co-sponsor of the "Armenia Cilicia" conference to be held on October 20 and 21 at UCLA–under the auspices and presence of His Holiness Aram I–Catholicos of the Holy See of Cilicia. Prof. Richard Hovannisian–Armenian History Chair at UCLA–and the Western Prelacy are the joint organizers of the conference.
In addition–on the occasion of His Holiness Aram I’s visit to the Western Prelacy–the Carolan couple sponsor a documentary film dedicated to the mission of the Catholicosate of Cilicia with an additional $30,000 donation.
Prelate–Bishop Mardirossian–expressed his appreciation for the new donations made by the Carolans and emphasized–that Mr. and Mrs. Carolan once again demonstrated their dedication to–and their support of the ecclesiastical role of the Western Prelacy and the mission of the Catholicosate of Cilicia.
