Chamlian first grade students celebrated the late Dr. Seuss’s birthday on March 2 by learning about the author’s life and enjoying a special breakfast of green eggs and ham. The students were very excited as they simultaneously recited lines with English Dept. Chair, Anita Torosian as she read the famous Dr. Seuss book, Green Eggs and Ham.
In an effort to generate excitement for Dr. Seuss’s birthday and to emphasize the importance of reading; the first graders had read a book by Dr. Seuss on each day of the week.
The students enthusiastically joined in a discussion about the life of Dr. Seuss with Souzy Ohanian, first grade lead teacher. Students were eager to share all the information that they had learned during the week.
We thank all of the first grade parents for their generous support, and the first grade teachers for their organizing a wonderful educational event.
