GLENDALE–Chamlian Armenian School obtained another full term six year accreditation by the the Western Association of Schools and Colleges.
An accreditation committee from the association visited Chamlian in April of this year. The accreditation leadership team, comprised of members of the administration and faculty, was well prepared to receive the accreditation committee.
In the months preceding the site visit, the team had worked hard to gain input from faculty, parents, and students to identify the Expected Schoolwide Learning Results and specific action steps toward achieving these results. For three days, the accreditation committee worked with the Chamlian team reviewing every aspect of the school’s operation. The visiting committee left Chamlian with a very favorable impression.
In its letter, dated June 27, the commission congratulated Vazken Madenlian, the Principal of Chamlian, for the quality of instruction being offered at Chamlian and for the stellar aspects of the school, which were highlighted in the report of the visiting committee.
Annette Baghdasarian, the Academic Director at Chamlian who led the accreditation effort, expressed her satisfaction: “We are very pleased with the results. Receiving full term accreditation is a strong affirmation of our commitment to excellence in every aspect of our educational program.”
Chamlian Armenian School has been accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges since 1983.
