MINSK (Armenpress)–The Secretariat of the Security Councils of the CIS Collective Security Treaty member-countries said that a regular meeting of the Secretaries of the CST Security Councils will be held this Thursday and Friday–in Minsk.
The Secretaries will discuss the development of a coalition of member-states in the war against terrorism–as well as cooperation to end illegal drug trafficking within the member-states. They will also discuss efforts to make each member-country more transparent–to have a viable method of information exchange–and to improve the legal basis of the Treaty.
Measures to fulfill the initiatives and decisions from previous sessions will be touched upon during the session; for example the coordination of humanitarian assistance to the newly formed Afghan government and population–and interaction among the member states of Collective Security Treaty in the UN and other international organizations for fight against terrorism.
The President of Belarus will welcome the leaders of the delegations on their arrival in Minsk.
