City of Highland Recognizes Karabakh Independence

HIGHLAND, Calif.— On November 26, 2013, the Highland, California, city council adopted a proclamation on establishing a sister city relationships with the city of Berdzor in the Nagorno Karabakh Republic.

According to another proclamation of the city council adopted earlier, Highland recognizes the independence of the Nagorno Karabakh Republic and urges the President and Congress of the United States of America to support the self-determination and democratic independence of the Nagorno Karabakh Republic and its constructive involvement with the international community’s efforts to reach a just and lasting solution to security issues in that strategically important region.

    One glimmer of hope, not to loose courage after the nauseating conduct of Obama, regarding the Armenian Genocide. I beleive that there are still people to whom moral values overweigh economic and political considerations.
