WASHINGTON (Reuters)–President Bill Clinton nominated career diplomats on Monday as his choices to become ambassadors to Armenia and Moldova.
Both nominations require Senate confirmation.
Clinton chose Michael Lemmon to be ambassador to Armenia. He entered the Foreign Service in 1974 and has served in postings in Moscow–Pakistan and Morocco. Until recently he was deputy assistant secretary of state for political military affairs.
