YEREVAN (Armenpress)–The Union of Armenian Judges–with a substantial support of the Council of Europe and Chemonics International organization’s Yerevan branch–has published a volume that contains 111 verdicts of the European Human Rights Court.
The volume entitled "European Human Rights Court: Collection of Verdicts," includes the European Court’s rulings–issued in 2000-2001–which may serve as precedence cases for Armenian courts.
The collection was presented last week and was welcomed by Armenian judiciary community. A member of the Constitutional Court described it as "a publication of exclusive importance."
The collection will be distributed to Armenian judges and also to human rights organizations to have a better understanding of the European court’s practice and on how it interprets the relevant laws.
