ANTELIAS–Lebanon–The Armenian Catholicosate of Cilicia is launching a publication of the complete series (in ten volumes) of Armenian ancient literature and patrology. A few volumes will be released each year until the project is completed.
This major cultural project is sponsored by the Catholicosate and the Department of the Armenian Affairs of the Gulbenkian Foundation as a concrete manifestation of their commitment to the promotion of Armenian cultural values–and is dedicated to the 1600th anniversary of the invention of the Armenian alphabet.
His Holiness Aram I praised the Department of Armenian Affairs of the Gulbenkian Foundation for its service to Armenian education and culture and he congratulated the representative of the department–Michael Yesayan–and its director–Dr. Zaven Yegavian–on the launch of this significant publication.
