YEREVAN (Noyan Tapan)–The Armenian Ministry of Health is currently conducting negotiations with Egypt for the construction of a vaccine-producing plant. Talking to Noyan Tapan–Head of the International Relations Department–Ministry of Health–Hayk Grigorian said that the Armenian side has already made a proposal on the establishment of a joint venture–and the Minister of Health of Egypt replied that the issue is under his personal control. The director of the Egyptian vaccine-producing plant is expected to visit Armenia to study the conditions available. Regarding the establishment of joint ventures–Grigorioan pointed out that much depends on individual enterprises but not on the Ministry of Health. In its turn–the Armenian Ministry of Health is ready to provide specialists–organize consultations–etc. He pointed out that Armenia has gained a broad experience in this sphere–for instance the Armenian-British Farmatech joint venture engaged in the production of infusion solutions.
The Armenian Ministry of Health also urged representatives of the Armenian Diaspora to make investmen’s in the joint ventures.
