YEREVAN (Armenpress)–The World Bank is to provide a loan of $11.4 million to Armenia to be directed at reforming the justice system. The loan is to be repaid in 40 years. The Armenian government is to provide another $800,000.
Earlier–in 1998–the government allocated $400 million drams for the reconstruction of 22 court buildings within the country. The amount turned out to be insufficient and the project remained incomplete.
The program stipulates the restoration of the court buildings and improvement of employee working conditions.
