MOSCOW (ArmRadio)—Member states of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO), a Russian-led military alliance which includes Armenia, will consider the establishment of a collective air force, TASS reports.
The matter will be discussed at a joint meeting between CSTO representatives within a joint CSTO military cooperation development concept. Participants in the meeting will discuss the streamlining of Collective Rapid Response Forces and Collective Rapid Deployment Forces in the Central Asian collective security region, the Russian Defense Ministry said.
“Participants in the meeting will consider creation of CSTO collective air force. A plan of joint events in operational and combat training for 2015 is expected to be approved,” the Russian Defense Ministry said.
