YEREVAN (Noyan Tapan)–Prime Minister Armen Darbinian held meetings with his counterpart from Karabakh Leonard Petrossian–Wednesday–to discuss issues of economic integration between Armenia and Nagorno-Karabakh–as well as issues of tax and customs administration.
The sides agreed that the relevant ministries of Armenia and Karabakh should establish closer business contacts.
Darbinian referred to the importance of Armenia’s support for the introduction of a system of treasury in the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic as well making the budget more efficient. In that regard–the need for a clear estimation of the macroeconomic statistics and the current tax legislation was stressed.
Petrossian referred to joint personnel training and the adjustment of the pace of economic reforms as the immediate measures undertaken to achieve economic integration between Armenia and Nagorno-Karabakh.
