GLENDALE–After almost 20 years of meticulous planning and the tireless and selfless efforts of scores of dedicated volunteers, teachers, parents, and alumni, Davidian Mariamian Educational Foundation is pleased to announce that it will host it’s inaugural telethon on Sunday, June 22nd , 2008, from 6PM to Midnight PST to raise the necessary funds to further enhance its afterschool programs in over 26 elementary and middle schools throughout Southern California.
Davidian Mariamian Educational Foundation in conjunction with corporate, civic, community, religious, political and educational partnerships will host an inaugural Telethon of the DMEF to raise funds for after school programs in over 26 public schools in Burbank, Glendale, La Crescenta, North Hollywood, Sunland, Tujunga areas, for over 1000 students
The telethon will be broadcast on Horizon 24 Hour Armenian Television
(Charter Communications: Channel 285), via satellite on Galaxy 25 (aka TeleStar 5/Globecast) and webcast on www.horizonarmeniantv.com, as well as LA VIEW (Charter Communications: Channel 287).
The telethon will take place Sunday, June 22 from 6 p.m. to midnight.
The Davidian & Mariamian Educational Foundation, established in 1987, is an independent, non-governmental, not-for-profit 501(C)(3) organization, whose mission is to provide quality after-school programs that promote the high values of education and the beauty of our multi-cultural society in order to help build a strong community and keep the children away from gangs, drugs, and violence.
