YEREVAN (Armenpress)–Armenia’s Diaspora Minister Hranoush Hakobyan met Tuesday with the head of the World Bank’s Office in Armenia, Aristomene Varudakis for talks on possible financing opportunities for the ministry’s projects.
Hakobian presented Varudakis with the ministry’s prospective plan to establish a pan-Armenian educational curriculum that will support Armenian educational programs in the Diaspora, according to the Diaspora Ministry’s press office.
Varudakis, for his part, discussed with Hakobian a number of education related programs to be implemented in Armenia within the next four years.
The programs, financed by the Bank’s Country Aid Program, will be implemented in cooperation with the Armenian government and will focus on raising education levels, primarily in kindergartens and public schools, he said.
Hakobian also talked about the creation of a pan-Armenian professional network, the Ministry said.
