YEREVAN (Noyan Tapan)–The Constitutional Amendment Commission is continuing its work. The Commission is cooperating with experts of the Venice Commission–as it is of high importance that before being discussed by the National Assembly–the Armenian Constitution be examined by international experts and meet international standards–Presidential Spokesman Vahe Gabrielian said in a news conference June 19.
Gabrielian said that the recall of Armenian Ambassador to Great Britain Armen Sargssian "is just a link in a chain". Other ambassadors who have worked in foreign countries for a long time are also expected to be recalled this year. Responding to the question as to what the US Representative to the OSCE Minsk Group Carey Cavanaugh stated concerning the submission of new proposals based on the idea of "common state"–Gabrielian said that no new document was officially presented.
