Drs. Noubar and Dickranouhi Mkhsi-Gevorkian donated $100,000 to the TCA-Arshag Dickranian School–helping finance the school’s $3.5 million expansion project–which is currently under construction. In appreciation of their generous gift–the Board of Trustees will name the new kindergarten after the Mksi-Gevorkians.
"We are extremely thankful to the Mkhsi-Gevorkians–not only for being among the first to respond to our fundraising pleas–but more so for personally visiting the school–along with their grandchild–and donating the full amount of their pledge gift in a timely manner," said Chairman of the School Board of Trustees George Mandossian.
While visiting the school–the Mkhsi-Gevorkians were ushered to watch the ongoing construction of the subterranean parking structure–due to be completed in mid-September. The extensive campus expansion and renovation work is the result of years of meticulous planning and preparation. The project relies on the goodwill and financial support of the Armenian community–as well as foundations and organizations that share the school’s goals aimed at enlightening the minds of the community’s youth.
The Mkhsi-Gevorkians are well-known in the Armenian community for their multi- faceted contributions. Their latest gift to the Arshag Dickranian School–however–illustrates their deep conviction that education is the most vital issue in our community.
