Expansion of Turkish-Armenian Economic Ties Important for Russia, Says Envoy

Yarigin-3ANKARA (ISRIA)–The expansion of economic relations between Turkey, Armenia and Russia is very important, Russia’s Ambassador to Turkey, Vladimir Ivanovski, said on Monday.

“Normalization of Turkey-Armenia relations does not worry Russia, we have always supported it. The expansion of the economic relations among Turkey, Armenia and Russia is very important,” Ivanovski was quoted by the Turkish Aksam newspaper as saying.

The Russian ambassador also commented on Turkey’s repeated demands that the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict be resolved before its borders with Armenia are opened.

He said it was not logical to precondition the resolution of the Karabakh conflict before the Turkey-Armenia protocols can be signed, but noted that he saw, at some level, a linkage between the two issues.

“The Normalization of Turkey-Armenia relations should help the solution to the Nagorno Karabakh conflict,” Ivanovski said. “We are obliged to find the ways to solve the Karabakh problem; we have no other way out.”

“at some level a linkage to the issue” = the linkage is the pipeline that both east and west are interested in. Who cares about the Armenian Genocide? Who cares about the Right of self-determination and the Armenian people? I am ashamed of the modern day world powers. All they care about is the $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ (which incidentally has no value any longer.)
