At the start of last April–Holy Martyrs Armenian Elementary and Ferrahian high School went through the evaluation process at the end of its accreditation term. The accreditation Visiting Team arrived at the school on April 1 and for the next four days met with the Administration–Faculty–students and parents in an effort to get acquainted with the school and its community. Members of the Visiting Team went into the classrooms in order to get a first-hand knowledge of the way instructions were carried out in the classroom. Through their meetings–members of the Visiting Team were able to get the pulse of the school and determine the extent of parent participation and support for the school. At the end of the four-day evaluation–the Visiting Team left the school with positive impressions.
The results of their impressions and their evaluation were provided by the WASC Main Office to the Principal informing him of the final decision regarding accreditation. It had been decided to give Ferrahian high School the maximum–six-year–full term accreditation period. Thus–this decision vindicates the magnificent work that the Faculty–staff–students and Administration performed together during the year preceding the visit of the Accrediting Committee.
