ENCINO–The administration and Finance Committee of Ferrahian Armenian school announced the construction of a new science laboratory–which will be dedicated to the memory of school alumnus Garo Madenlian–who passed away in April.
A graduate of 1995–Madenlian was an active member of the Ferrahian community. His untimely death became a great loss not only to his friends and family members–but also to the Ferrahian community.
Madenlian’s parents decided that in lieu of flowers donations would be utilized to construct a new science laboratory for the school–in order for future generation to benefit from modern technological advances.
The in lieu flowers donations have amounted to $15,000 to which a generous contribution of $10,000 from London-based benefactress Siran Manougian was included.
The planning of the science laboratory was undertaken by Ferrahian’s administration and Finance Committee–in hopes of providing a venue for students–in the upcoming year–to conduct experimen’s in chemistry–biology and even physics.
The administration–faculty and staff of Ferrahian Armenian school join with Madenlian’s parents in thanking all those who honored Garo’s memory and contributed.
