YEREVAN (Panorama.am)—“I am proud and happy to have been appointed Ambassador to Armenia,” France’s new Ambassador to Armenia, Jean-François Charpentier, told reporters on Tuesday.
“Armenia is an important country for France, a country with which we have been cooperating for a long time,” said the Ambassador.
Charpentier said that the Armenian-French political dialogue is at the highest level. He added that three French Presidents – Jacques Chirac, Nicolas Sarkozy and Francois Hollande – have visited Armenia.
The envoy stressed that France will maintain this trend and said that French President Francois Hollande will visit Armenia on April 24, 2015, on the occasion of the one hundredth anniversary of the Armenian Genocide.
Of course any French president will pay their respects on any April 24th. They need to absolve themselves and their governments overnight withdrawal from Cilicia that resulted in the massacres of tens of thousands of Cilician Armenians.
Instead of paying respect on April 24th they need to return our Cilicia and compensate for their role in the massacres.
Who owns Cilicia? France? You need to be thankful for all France does for Armenia and protect what you have, Armenia and Karabagh.
This is good news. French know about the Armenian genocide more than most Europeans. Certainly more than the British,or should I say English. Scots and Welsh have recognised the Armenian genocide.
