TBILISI(Itar-Tass)–Georgian President Eduard Shevardnadze said at a news briefing in Tbilisi Monday that he would meet presidents of Armenia and Azerbaijan in Luxembourg on June 22.
He said the meeting of the presidents’ of the three Transcaucasus republics would have a "consultative character".
Shevardnadze plans telephone conversations with Armenian President Robert Kocharian and Azeri President Haydar Aliyev in coming days about the agenda of the Luxembourg meeting..
He said a ceremony of final ratification of cooperation accords between Georgia–Armenia and Azerbaijan with the European Union will be held in Luxembourg on June 22.
The Georgian Foreign Ministry said Georgia’s cooperation accord was an important step toward its integration in European bodies.
