AKHALKALAK (ArmInfo)–A thirty member military team–led by Robert Maizouradze–an officer of the Georgian ministry of special situations–arrived in Akhalkalak yesterday evening.
According to Maizouradze–the team is there to inspect the level of radioactive waste at the Russian military base in Javakhk. Displeased by the delegation’s presence–the population of Javakhk conveyed that a military team–specifically an armed team–is unnecessary for the detection of radioactive waste.
