GLENDALE–The City Council appointed a 30-member committee Tuesday to develop a memorial recognizing "man’s inhumanity to man." Giving more specific direction to the committee than it had in the past–the council directed the committee to consider the Armenian Genocide–among other atrocities–in its deliberations.
"The issue that brings us to this threshold is the commemoration of the Armenian Genocide–and I think the committee has to address that," said Councilman Rafi Manoukian.
