GLENDALE—Sergeant Lola Abrahamian from the Glendale Police Department, along with her colleagues Lieutenant Ian Grims, Sgt. John Gilkerson, and Detective Andrew Jenks visited Chamlian Armenian School on June 1 to present the students and parents with an educational and informative presentation.
The presentation covered various topics in the field of communication technology and its effects on the daily lives of our students.
The school’s 6th-8th grade students sat quietly while the police team presented valuable information regarding bullying and the safe usage of the internet and other modes of wireless communication. The essential message was that in today’s world, communication technology is an extremely powerful tool and the misuse of it may result in serious consequences.
Collaboration between law enforcement officers and schools is an important step in increasing student safety. The school would like to thank the Glendale Police Department for taking the time to discuss the importance of this matter with our students and parents.
