YEREVAN (Armenpress)–The government of Armenia must work quickly to find solutions to the country’s pressing challenges if it truly wants to become a government of national unity, ARF Parliamentary faction member Ara Nranian told a news conference Tuesday.
He said the government’s long-term goals may seem hard to implement by a small country like Armenia. But if they are implemented, he noted, they will ensure an environment of public unity and solidarity.
He said the ARF stands ready to do everything in its power to help archive these objectives. According to him, the focus should be on building Armenia’s healthcare, education system and tourism. Armenia, he added, must develop for the repatriation of Armenia’s to their homeland.
The ARF remains an advocate of a strong anti-corruption policy, which will ensure a more democratic government, Nranian remarked.
The ARF deputy also welcomed the appointment of Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan. Highlighting his record as a skilled and seasoned professional, Nranian said the new government fits into Sargsyan’s motto that government officials must serve as examples for society.
"The government should become a provider of quality services," he said. "Everything shouldn’t be handed to the private sector."
