YEREVAN (Armenpress)-The government has begun putting together an oversight committee to monitor the country’s customs and tax administration, Armenian Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan announced on Thursday.
In a meeting with Armenian businessmen, Sargsyan said the oversight committee will have a hotline for people to call with remarks, complaints, and suggestions connected with the activity of the customs and tax administrations.
"Together with you we will have an opportunity to discuss both the concept and the program of the group," he said. "We will also discuss your participation in monitoring and oversight as well as in the implementation of necessary changes to Armenia’s tax administration."
"We will be monitoring and gathering all commen’s, and suggestions in order to learn how to improve the tax and customs administrations," the prime minister said.
We will soon have a model on how to improving the country’s tax administration, he explained, adding that a program and agenda will be presented for discussion.
