YEREVAN (Armenpress)–"My reaction to the latest reshuffle in the army command was normal," said Armenian Defense Minister Vagharshak Harutunian upon his return form Moscow where he participated in the CIS Defense Ministers’ Council. He also dismissed reports about his imminent resignation.
Harutunian said he has no problems with the newly promoted army commanders. Earlier reports in the press said he was particularly opposed to the appointment of General Manvel Grigorian–head of Yerkrapah Union of Karabakh War Volunteers–as a Deputy Minister of defense.
Harutunian also said that three agreemen’s increasing the efficiency of Armenia’s air defense system were signed during his visit to Moscow.
