LITTLE ARMENIA—In its continuing effort to expand its reach, Horizon Armenian Television has held discussions with Time-Warner Cable officials in order to include Horizon on its cable lineup of channels.
Time-Warner Cable reaches Armenian-American households in all of Hollywood (including Little Armenia), the San-Fernando Valley, Tujunga, Sunland, the South Bay and other communities where Armenians reside.
To demonstrate the need for Time-Warner Cable to allocate a dedicated-channel to Horizon, the Armenian-American community needs to speak up by taking part in a signature-drive campaign, which coveys the community’s interest and desire to include the channel in the cable company’s lineup.
“Armenians who have been long-time and loyal customers of Time-Warner Cable should make their voices heard, and by participating in the signature drive urge the company decision-makers to add Horizon television to the channel lineup,” said Vicken Sosikian, General Manager of the Armenian Media Network, Horizon’s parent company.
Community organizations, churches, schools and centers have been engaged to take part in this campaign and urge their members and affiliates to sign on.
For more than 20 years, Horizon television has been the leading broadcast channel for up-to-the-minute news from Armenia and the community, important information and diverse entertainment.
“I support Horizon and consider it a reflection of my community and an important source of Armenian news, reporting, and information. I look forward to watching it through Time Warner,” reads the signature drive’s lead paragraph.
The inclusion of Horizon on Time-Warner Cable would broaden the scope of programming and coverage for the television channel, ensuring coverage of communities and individuals within the Time-Warner Cable coverage area. If successful, Time-Warner Cable customers would be asked to pay a nominal fee to receive Horizon as part of their cable package.
