YEREVAN(Noyan Tapan)–A joint delegation of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe Office for Democratic Institutes and Human Rights–the Council of Europe–the European Commission and the U.N. High commissioner Secretariat arrived–in Armenia Tuesday on a fact-finding mission.
Led by Office for Democratic Institutes and Human Rights Director–Ambassador Gerard Studman–the delegation’s major goal for the visit is to further develop cooperation between international human rights institutes and organizations and Armenia. In particular–the sides are expected to discuss an agreement between Armenia and the OSCE/ODIHR.
Members of the delegation are scheduled to meet with Acting President of Armenia–Prime Minister Robert Kocharian–Chairman of the Constitutional Court Gagik Haroutiunian–ministers and representatives of Nagorno-Karabakh.
The delegation will also pay a visit to Catholicos of All Armenia’s–His Holiness Karekin I.
