YEREVAN (ARKA)—Iran will accept diplomas from three universities in Armenia, Education and Science Minister Armen Ashotian said Wednesday.
Ashotian traveled to Tehran earlier this week where he met with President Mahmoud Ahmedinejad and other officials. His visit focused mainly on the expansion of scientific and education ties between the neighboring countries.
According to agreements yet to be signed, Iran will accept degrees from Yerevan State University, the Yerevan State Medical University and the Yerevan State Engineering University.
Ashotain said Iranian education officials are due to arrive in Yerevan in the coming days to discuss the agreement further. He said Armenia and Iran will try to sign an agreement before the beginning of the next academic year in September.

This would explain why a few months ago an Iranian woman (living in OC) who told me that her brother was moving his family from Iran to Armenia for his son’s university education. It seemed odd at the time, but if Iran is recognizing diplomas from Armenia, I see many more Iranians making the move. Could Armenia become the next safe haven for Iranians?
Well yeah! Armenia is on her own and the Iranians are the only freind we’ve got. That is a very unsettling prospect, isn’t it?The fact that the west has turned its back on the worlds 1st Christian nation or that Iran is a better freind to Armenia than the US.Thank you HiC,and special thanks to the 50/50 bar for not using the “G” word on that very special day when you chickened out,you coward
Then that makes the turkish univ or schools bankrupt,or ineligible for academic certification,if their history is flawed viz The truth about the Armenian Genocide, a well known historical truism, that 90% of the bona fide acadamics reconize.Conversely, hiding their YELLOW STAIN history OF WW1.
