YEREVAN (Hayots Ashkhar)–The Georgian Georgenergo company and Iranian Tavanir energy company signed a contract in Tehran on July 25 agreeing to supply electrical power to Georgia from Iran.
Power will be supplied to Georgia during the winter months via Armenia’s territory should Georgia’s power system fail.
Georgia will receive 1 million KWt/h of power per day–a total of 150 million KWt/h in five months.
