STEPANAKERT (ArmRadio)—The Nagorno-Karabakh Republic’s Foreign Ministry has forwarded to the OSCE Secretariat an announcement by the Karabakh National Assembly condemning Azerbaijan’s recent military threats against the republic. The statement is to be distributed among participants at the OSCE Ministerial meeting in Athens on December 1.
The statement was accompanied by a letter to the OSCE Chairman-in-Office George Papandreaou and his assistant Andrzej Kasprzyk.
The statement, issued on November 25, warned that the heightening of military rhetoric from Baku was aimed at derailing the conflict resolution process.
“Recent developments in the Karabakh conflict resolution process demonstrate Azerbaijan’s blatant non-constructive approach. By using various media, the Azeri leadership is creating the illusion of dissatisfaction with the internationally mediated process. In reality, however, the policies of that country aim to shift the military and political balance in the region in its favor by unveiled threats of future war against Artsakh,” read the parliament statement,” the announcement said.
Karabakhi leaders remind me the famous Georgian funny story. One day, the Georgians save their neighbor by pulling the victim out of the well. Next day, the same Georgians, by the same ANALOGY, pull down and kill a person who was doing repairing work on his roof. Karabakhi people should understand that it is too late for them to demand a voice in the Karabakhi-Azeri conflict. Karabakhis have already been tricked.
