YEREVAN (Noyan Tapan)–After a short break–the Karabakh Public and Political Information Bureau in France resumed the publication of the Karabakh Tribune bulletin which has been published since 1997. Its cover page features Karabakh Foreign Minister Naira Melkoumian’s address to the readers. The address says that since the commencement of the national liberation struggle and declaration of independence of the Nagorno Karabakh Republic there has been a need for presenting the events taking place in Nagorno Karabakh to the world. The Karabakh Tribune must become a bridge between the people of Karabakh and compatriots and supporters in France.
A major portion of the Tribune discusses plans for the upcoming road construction in Karabakh funded by the All-Armenian "Hayastan" Fund.
The Tribune also discusses the July 14 incident on the Karabakh-Azeri frontline in Mardakert. Assessmen’s and commen’s by political figures and information on the OSCE monitoring are included.
Excerpts from Karabakh President Arkady Ghoukassian’s speech at the meeting with members of Parliament–government officials and public representatives held on June 29 are printed on the second page of the bulletin. The issue also includes the biography of the newly appointed Karabakh prime minister–Anushavan Danielian.
The "Karabakh Tribune" bulletin will be published three times in two months–the circulation being 1,000 copies.
