STEPANAKERT (Arka)—The government of the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic will carry out a national census in 2015, Karabakh Prime Minister Ara Harutyunyan said Wednesday in a meeting with Stepan Mnatsakanyan, head of the National Statistical Service of Armenia.
Harutyunyan expressed hope for direct support from Armenia’s National Statistical Service, and Mnatsakanyan pledged assistance.
The Nagorno-Karabakh government’s press office quotes the prime minister as saying that there is plenty to do before the census and that it will be preceded by some preliminary work.
Karen Nersisyan, head of the National Statistical Service of Nagorno Karabakh was also present at the meeting.
