STEPANAKERT (Noyan Tapan)–The government of Nagorno-Karabakh is making preparations for the celebration of the sixth anniversary of the liberation of Shoushi and Karabakh Army Day on May 9. The government has assigned a commission to organize the celebrations.
Participants in the liberation of Shoushi will be presented with medals and souvenirs at the National Assembly on May 8. The next day–according to tradition–wreaths will be placed at the memorial monument in Stepanakert.
Various concerts and sport competitions are scheduled to be held in Stepanakert’s main square. Festivals are also planned in regional centers.
