YEREVAN (Noyan Tapan)–President Robert Kocharian held a series of meetings late last week–Last week with several Armenian ambassadors.
Kocharian met with Armenian ambassadors to Great Britain & Northern Ireland (Armen Sarkissian)–Greece (Arman Kirakossian)–Turkmen’stan (Aram Grigorian)–France (Edward Nalbandian)–Iran (Gegham Gharibjanian) and Armenia’s Charge d’Affaires to Italy Gagik Baghdassarian.
During the meeting objectives of Armenian embassies abroad as well as their plans for 1999 were specified–based on the recent trends in Armenia’s foreign policy. Kocharian said that one of the embassies’ major objectives was to develop economic relations with their host countries.
Kocharian attached great importance to the presentation of the Armenian economy abroad and efforts to attract foreign investment in Armenia’s economy.
