DAVOS–Switzerland (Itar-Tass)–President Robert Kocharian–who took part in the annual session of the World Economic Forum–in an Itar-Tass interview–expressed satisfaction with the state of relations between Yerevan and Moscow.
"Our relations are at a proper level. We shall develop them. Our wish is for Russia to get out of the crisis situation–which affects everyone–as soon as possible," expressed Kocharian
The Armenian President said "bilateral relations–a settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict–global matters–and current processes in the world" had been discussed during his meeting in Davos with Russian Prime Minister Yevgeny Primakov.
In discussing recent statemen’s made by Vafa Guluzade–the Azeri President’s foreign policy adviser–about the republic’s willingness to allow the establishment of NATO or US military bases on its territory–Kocharian said–"I think that it is too early to speak about the seriousness of such intentions. This is possibly an emotional reaction to some issue or event. Time will tell."
Evaluating Turkey’s policy regarding its neighbors–said–"I believe there is still some ground for anxiety. Nevertheless–I believe that mutually acceptable solutions can be found."
