YEREVAN (Noyan Tapan)–President Robert Kocharian is to leave for Minsk–Belarus to participate in the meeting of the Council of CIS Heads of State to be held November 30. The Armenian delegation will include Prime Minister Andranik Margarian and other high-ranking officials.
The CIS Summit is to be preceded by meetings between prime ministers and foreign ministers. The CIS leaders are expected to discuss issues related to the formation of a center for struggling against international terrorism. In addition–the CIS Executive Council will inform the CIS leaders of the process of creating a free trade zone. Other issues to be covered are inventory of numerous agreemen’s signed by CIS member countries and the tasks related to the agreement on the prevention of legalization of illegally obtained profits.
The Armenian delegation is to return to Yerevan on December 1.
