YEREVAN (Yerkir)-University professors, Karabakh war veterans, friends and family members attended Friday a ceremony at Yerevan State University for the opening of three lecture halls named after students who had fought in the Karabakh war.
Of the three lecture halls, two were opened in the economics department and named after Furman Gevorgian and Vachagan Avakimov, while the third was named after Tatul Krpeyan and was opened in the History Department. Krpeyan’s bust statue was placed in the hall.
The YSU Director Aram Simonian said that so far 13 lecture halls have been named after freedom fighters killed in the Karabakh war and another 13 will open next year.
