The Central Executive of the Hamazkayin Armenian Educational & Cultural Society announced the receipt of a generous contribution in the amount of $50,000 from The Lincy Foundation–donated in May. This sum will be allocated for the educational and cultural summer programs Hamazkayin has planned for the year 2000.
The implementation and success of Hamazkayin’s projects are made possible by donations from caring individuals and benevolent foundations. The Lincy Foundation was swift and discerning in making this timely contribution to help alleviate some of Hamazkayin’s financial burden for the coming year.
Hamazkayin is a well-established cultural organization with chapters throughout the world. The chapters maintain Armenian schools–cultural centers–and educational summer programs. With financial contributions like that of The Lincy Foundation–Hamazkayin is able to implement programs that ultimately help safeguard the Armenian language–culture–and identity in the Diaspora.
"We applaud the contribution of The Lincy Foundation–wishing them a prosperous future of continued dedication and support to educational and cultural organizations," Hamazkayin’s statement read.
