FRESNO–The Lincy Foundation recently awarded a $50,000 grant to the Armenian Community School of Fresno. This donation will be used to upgrade and purchase new computers for the schools new computer lab and to supplement and enhance the current curriculum and Armenian language program announced the school’s Board of Directors and Principal Rosie Bedrosian.
For more than 30 years the Armenian Community School of Fresno has provided a learning environment in which healthy, moral, ethical and spiritual values are instilled and nurtured. The students of ACSF are exposed to a bi-lingual curriculum of the highest quality, which helps them become model American citizens with an understanding and appreciation of their Armenian heritage.
Currently, construction on the new school site of the Armenian Community School of Fresno, soon to be named the Charlie Keyan Armenian School, is underway and will be completed in mid December just in time for the winter semester. Until then, the school is temporarily renting the facilities at the Saint Luke’s Calvary Church in Fresno. Everyone, including the students, faculty and administration are anxiously awaiting this move.
