KESSAB, Syria (Armenpress)—A church in the Armenian-populated village of Karaduran, Syria, near Kessab, which was looted during the region’s occupation by extremist forces, was reconsecrated on Friday, Kessab community spokesperson Garo Manchikian told Armenpress. Manchikian also reported that the Armenian church’s first mass since its capture would be held on Sunday.
Manchikian said the leader of the Armenian Apostolic Diocese of Beroea, Bishop Shahan Sarkisian, and the leader of the Syrian-Armenian Evangelical Church, Rev. Haroutioun Selimian, visited Kessab.
Speaking about the situation in Kessab, Manchikian noted that it will take more than a month to restore what was destroyed by extremist militants during more than three months of occupation. “About a year will be necessary to restore what was ruined,” he clarified.
Until next time? What or who will protect them next time? Can they protect themselves? Why not to move to Armenia?
It continues to be under occupation, albeit with another brutal force. By the way, a portrait of the president at the entrance will do wonders.
I pray God will always protect the people of the world from false religious worshiping militants.
