
The Hamazkayin Central Executive Tuesday announced that its school in Marseilles, France was granted 1.35 million euros from the Bouche du Rhone regional authorities.
The grant was announced during a local Armenian community event by the regional council chairman Jean-Noel Guerin.
The Hamazkayin Central Executive also announced that due to the diligence and perseverance of the school’s administration and faculty, the secondary level of the Marseilles school has signed a cooperation agreement with the regional government. The contract stipulates that beginning the next school year, the French Education Ministry will gradually provide for a substantial portion of the budget.
